Clamp this small aluminum block to a board, run your drill bit through one of its two guide sleeves, and it holds the bit at a steady 15-degree angle. The result is a pocket hole: an angled screw hole that pulls two boards tight together and hides the screw on the inside face.
It is a simple, pocket-sized drill guide for shelves, face frames, boxes and repairs. You supply the drill, the bit, a clamp and the screws.
How it works
Clamp it, drill it, screw it.
Line the jig up on the edge of your board and hold it in place with a clamp. Guide your bit down through a sleeve; the aluminum block keeps the angle consistent from one hole to the next, so a row of joints comes out matching.
Two guide holes side by side let you drill a pair of pocket holes without moving the jig.
Three bit sizes
Swap the sleeve to match your bit.
The black guide sleeves thread into the block. The kit covers three bit sizes: 6 mm, 8 mm and 10 mm (0.24, 0.31 and 0.39 in). Unscrew the pair you have in and thread in the size that matches the bit you are using.
Pick the bit size to suit your screws and the thickness of your boards.

- Bring a clamp. The jig must be clamped to the board while you drill; a hand hold lets it slip.
- Bits are not included. Use a bit that matches the sleeve you have fitted. A drill bit with a stop collar helps you drill every hole to the same depth.
- It is compact. The block fits in the palm of your hand, so it is easy to carry and store; it is a handheld guide, not a bench-mounted jig system.
- Wear eye protection when drilling, and keep fingers clear of the bit.
