A backless clear slide on a short, slender kitten heel, with a light built into the sole. Under normal room light they read as simple transparent heels. When the lights go down, the sole and heel glow a cool white and throw a soft pool of light on the floor around your feet.
One wide band of clear plastic holds the front of the foot, so there are no straps or buckles to fasten: you step in and go.

The light unit sits inside the clear sole, so it shines out through the faceted edge and down the clear heel rather than from a strip stuck on the outside. On a dark dance floor, a rooftop at night or a dim bar, that is what people notice: a clean white glow at your feet.

The shape
A slide, not a strappy sandal.
This is a slip-on slide: a white footbed, one wide clear band across the toes and instep, an open toe and an open back. The heel is about 2.4 in (6 cm) tall, with a front platform of about 0.4 in (1 cm), so it gives some lift without the pitch of a stiletto.
Because nothing wraps the ankle, your foot is held by the band alone. That makes them quick to put on and easy to kick off, and it means they suit standing, walking and dancing on the spot better than long walks or stairs taken at speed.

Wearing them
Simple to style.
Clear uppers take on the color of whatever you wear with them, so they sit as easily under a satin slip dress as under black pants. With the light off they pass as plain clear heels for the early part of the evening.
To clean, wipe the band and footbed with a soft damp cloth. Keep them out of water and away from strong sun and heat, which can cloud or warp clear plastic.

- There is no ankle strap. The wide band is the only thing holding your foot. If you need a strap for security, these are not the pair.
- We cannot tell you how long the light lasts. The maker publishes no battery type or run time, and the light unit is sealed in the sole.
- They are not waterproof. Keep them out of rain, pools and puddles, and wipe them clean rather than washing them.
- Clear plastic shows wear. Scuffs, dust and the odd crease in the band are more visible than on a colored heel, and PVC can feel warm on bare skin over a long night.
