Most costume corsets turn up as one piece and leave you hunting for the rest the week before the party. This one does not. Pick a set design and the blouse, the corset and the skirt all arrive together, cut to go with each other, in colours that actually match.

The corset is the reason it holds a shape all evening. It is a structured, boned bodice rather than a soft printed top, so it stays where you put it through dinner, dancing and photographs instead of sliding down by nine o'clock.

What you get

Every set design arrives as three separate pieces:

Off-shoulder blouse — soft woven top with a wide elasticated neckline that sits off the shoulders, and short puffed sleeves gathered at the elbow.
Structured corset — a boned bodice that closes at the front, with lacing, clasps or buckles depending on the design you choose.
Ruffled skirt — lace layered over satin, gathered at the waist, cut shorter across the front and longer at the back.

There is also one option that is the blouse on its own — no corset and no skirt. It is clearly labelled in the design list, and it is the only single-piece option.

Choosing a design

Each design in the list is named for what you actually receive: the colour and finish of the corset first, then the colour of the skirt it comes with. Brown, black, wine, rust and tan corsets all appear, in woven brocade or a faux-leather finish, and the skirt is either brown or black to suit. The blouse is ivory on some designs and bright white on others — the name tells you which where it matters.

Pick by the corset, because that is the piece everyone looks at.

Sizing, straight

Sizes here run S to XL only. Larger sizes are not stocked on this page. If you normally shop above a US 12, this range is unlikely to fit you, and we would rather say so now than after it ships.

Measure your natural waist and choose from that, not from the size you buy in a stretchy dress — a boned corset does not give the way jersey does. The lacing or clasps at the front let you set how tightly it closes, so there is some room to adjust once it is on. The blouse and the skirt both sit on elastic, so they are far more forgiving than the corset is.
