A slip-on winter shoe with a waterproof molded shell, a soft knit ankle cuff, a short plush lining and a chunky lugged sole. Step in without laces, wear them from the kitchen to the garden and back, and wipe the shell clean when you are done.
They are made for cold, wet days close to home: kitchen and café shifts, garden work, walking the dog, the porch and the driveway. They are not boots and not certified safety footwear, so the details below tell you exactly what they are before you pick a size.
How they are made
Molded shell outside, plush inside
- Waterproof molded shell. The toe, sides and heel are one smooth molded piece, so rain, splashes and wet grass stay out and mud wipes off. Water can still get in over the top: the cuff is knit fabric.
- Short plush lining. A soft, short plush lines the inside and the footbed, so your feet stay warm without the bulk of a boot.
- Knit sock cuff. A stretchy ribbed collar hugs your ankle, keeps the shoe on your foot as you walk and keeps cold air out.
- Non-slip, oil-resistant lug sole. A thick outsole with rounded lugs along the edge for grip on wet floors and paths. The maker describes it as non-slip, waterproof and oil-resistant.
Where they work
Kitchen, garden, porch, errands
Chefs and café staff wear them for warm feet on cold kitchen floors. Gardeners wear them for autumn and winter jobs in the yard, then rinse the mud off at the door. Everyone else wears them for the quick trips outside: the mailbox, the trash cans, the dog, the car.
Black is the most popular color and hides kitchen and garden dirt best. White, Pink and Lime Green are the same shoe in brighter shells.
Sizing
Pick your size by foot length
These shoes are made in EU sizes. The maker publishes one measurement per size, your foot length, so that is what we list. Stand on a sheet of paper, mark your heel and the tip of your longest toe, and measure between the marks. Choose the size whose foot length matches yours. If you are between two sizes, or you wear thick socks, take the larger one.
The size menu above shows the same foot length next to each EU size. Longest foot we fit: 10.8 in (27.5 cm).
Before you buy
What to expect
- Not certified slip-resistant work shoes. The sole is sold as non-slip and oil-resistant, but it has not been tested or certified to a slip-resistance standard such as ASTM F2913. If your workplace requires certified slip-resistant footwear, check with your employer before you wear these on shift.
- Not a snow boot. The knit cuff sits just above the ankle. Wet ground, light snow and splashes are fine; deep snow and puddles will soak through the cuff.
- Warm inside. The plush lining is made for cold days and can feel warm if you wear them indoors for hours.
