A vibrating steel spatula for the stuff you would otherwise squeeze out with your fingers.
You wet your face, lay the flat of the steel against the skin, switch it on and draw it slowly across. The blade vibrates at high frequency against the water on your skin, and that agitation loosens and lifts the softened debris sitting in the top of your pores — blackheads, sebum, dead surface cells — onto the spatula, where you wipe it off.
That is the whole mechanism. It is a surface tool. It works on what is already loose and near the top, it does it without you pinching your own face, and it takes about five minutes.
The one thing that decides whether you like it
It only works on wet skin.
This is the single biggest reason people are disappointed by a skin scrubber, and one of our own reviewers ran straight into it — she used it over cleanser and felt like she was just wiping the cleanser off.
She was. The vibration needs water to work against. On dry skin, or on a thick layer of cleanser, the spatula is just a cold piece of metal sliding around. Rinse first, keep the skin properly wet the whole time, and re-wet it as it dries. Warm skin after a shower is the easiest place to start, because the surface is already softened.
Do that and the difference is obvious in the first pass. Skip it and you will think the device is broken.
What the three labels on the body mean
Three settings, and we will be straight about them.
The body is printed with three mode names — Cleansing, Moisturizing and Lifting — and you step through them by pressing the power button. What changes between them is the vibration pattern and which way you hold the spatula: edge-forward and scooping for the cleansing pass, flat and gliding for the other two.
Those are the manufacturer's names for the settings. We are not going to tell you the device moisturizes you or lifts your face, because we cannot show you that it does. Use the settings as what they are: three different strengths and rhythms, and the one you like is the one you keep using.
The second thing in the box
A small mist sprayer comes with it.
Both colors ship with a little white nano mist sprayer, about the size of a lipstick. You fill it with water, press the button and it puts out a very fine mist — enough to re-wet your face mid-session without going back to the tap, which is genuinely the most useful thing about it.
It is a separate battery-powered unit, not an attachment, and it charges the same way the scrubber does. Keep it to plain water; it is a tiny nozzle and thicker liquids will clog it.
How people actually use it
Five minutes, a few times a week.
The easiest window
Skin is warm, wet and softened, so the pass does the most with the least pressure. Most people settle into this and never change it.
Where it earns its keep
Short overlapping strokes across the nose and down the chin, edge angled slightly, re-wetting as you go. This is the area buyers talk about.
Two or three times a week
It is exfoliation. Doing it daily on the same patch leaves skin tight and irritated — the same way any scrub would.

Worth knowing before you buy
What it does not do.
- It does not change how your skincare is absorbed. This page used to say it did, in several places. There is no evidence for it that we can stand behind, so it is gone and we are not replacing it with a softer version of the same idea.
- It does not make your pores smaller, firm your skin, fade lines or treat acne. Pore size is largely structural. A surface tool cleans the opening; it does not resize it. If a claim like that mattered to your decision, this is not the product.
- It is not a suction tool. There is no vacuum and no pump. Deep, hardened plugs will not come out with this, and pressing harder to make them will only redden your skin.
- It is not waterproof. The head is steel and the body is sealed plastic, but nothing here is rated for immersion. Use it on wet skin, wipe the head clean afterwards, and never hold it under the tap or take it into the shower.
- Skip it on broken or inflamed skin. Not over open spots, cuts, sunburn, eczema patches or active breakouts, and not on the eyelids. If you are on prescription acne or retinoid treatment, ask your prescriber before you add any exfoliating tool.
- The battery is sealed in. When it stops holding charge, the unit is finished — it is not a device you re-cell. Recycle it as electronics, not in household waste.
