The tracker you can wear to a wedding
A wrist band tells the room you are tracking something. A ring does not. This is a chunky, mirror-polished titanium steel band with the sensor hidden on the inside, so the only thing anyone sees is jewelry. There is no screen, nothing lights up in a meeting, and nothing buzzes. It just sits on your finger and sends what it picks up to your phone.
What is actually inside it
Turn the ring over and you will find one small oval window set flush into the inner surface, with two tiny lenses behind it. That is an optical sensor. It shines light into the skin on the palm side of your finger and reads what comes back. The supplier's own quick-start guide labels the two lights: a green light for heart rate and a red light for blood oxygen. A motion sensor alongside them counts steps and works out when you are asleep and when you are moving.
The ring stores what it reads and hands it to a free companion app over Bluetooth when your phone is nearby. Everything you look at, you look at in the app.
The supplier also specifies blood pressure among the readings this ring reports.
Read this once and then forget about it: this is a consumer wellness accessory, not a medical device. An optical sensor on a finger is not a blood pressure cuff, a pulse oximeter or an ECG, and nothing it shows you has been cleared by the FDA for diagnosis. Treat every number in the app as a trend to notice, not a measurement to act on. If a reading worries you, or if you feel unwell, talk to a doctor and get measured properly — the supplier's own guide says the same thing. Do not use it to manage a diagnosed condition or to decide anything about medication.
Getting the size right is the whole game
This is the one thing that decides whether you keep the ring or send it back, so we are going to be blunt about it. No sizing kit ships with this ring. You pick a US ring size from 7 to 12 on this page and that is what arrives.
- Measure against a ring you already own — one you wear comfortably on the finger you plan to put this on. Take that ring to a jeweler, or use a printable ring sizer, and order that US size.
- Do not size off a different finger. An index finger and a ring finger are rarely the same, and a sensor ring only reads well on the finger it was sized for.
- It needs to be snug, not tight. Loose enough to slide over the knuckle without a fight, snug enough that it does not spin freely. A ring that rotates moves the sensor off the palm side of your finger, and the readings suffer for it.
- Fingers change size. They are smaller when you are cold and larger late in the day and in hot weather. Size in the middle of a normal day, not straight out of the shower.
If you land exactly between two sizes we are not going to guess for you. Without a sizing kit in the box there is no honest way for us to call it, and a wrong-size smart ring is not something you can adjust.
How to wear it
The supplier's guide asks for the index, middle or ring finger, with the sensor window turned toward the palm side of your finger. That is where the tissue is that the sensor is designed to read through. Wear it the other way around and it will still look good and still count your steps, but the heart rate and blood oxygen readings will be worse.
Charging
The ring recharges in its own small dock, which is included. Seat the ring in the dock and a light comes on: red while it is charging, green when it is full. There is no port on the ring itself and no cable that plugs into it.
We are deliberately not printing a battery-life figure here. The sources we can see for this ring quote wildly different numbers, and until we can pin one down from the manufacturer we would rather say nothing than say something you can hold us to and find untrue.
What it is
“Titanium steel” is the trade name the manufacturer uses for this alloy family, and it is the name in this product's title. It is a hard, corrosion-resistant steel with a polished finish — read it as a finish and a feel, not as a claim that the band is machined from titanium metal.
Water
The ring is water-resistant, and the previous version of this page told you it was ready for workouts, showers and weather. That still stands as the supplier's claim, and hand washing, sweat and rain are what a ring like this is built to shrug off. What we will not do is give you an immersion depth or a waterproof rating, because we do not have one documented for this exact model. Until we do, take it off before you swim.
The five finishes
All five are the same ring underneath — the same band, the same sensor, the same dock. The difference is the surface.
- Silver is the polished steel itself. The most anonymous of the five.
- Gold and Blue are colored finishes over that same steel, both mirror-bright.
- Black is a dark mirror finish. It hides the sensor window best and shows fingerprints most.
- Silver & Gold is the two-tone: a silver center band with the chamfered edges in gold.
A colored finish is a surface, and surfaces mark. If you work with your hands, the polished faces will pick up hairline scratches. That is true of every polished ring ever made and it is worth knowing before you choose the darkest one.
