The Ion Pure™ is an ionic detox foot bath. In under 20 minutes a day you can strengthen your immune system, enhance quality of sleep, and improve daily energy levels.
It is a two-part machine. A round white control unit sits on the floor beside you. A coiled stainless-steel array sits in the water with your feet. You add a small measured dose of salt, switch it on, and sit still for the length of the cycle.
The default option
Use the tub you already own
Most people already have something that holds warm water and both feet — a washing-up basin, a storage tub, a plastic bucket. The Ion Pure™ is not built into a tub, so it works in whatever you put in front of the sofa.
That is what the No (I Have My Own) option is. It ships the machine, the array, the adapter and the liners, and nothing else. Choose Yes (I Need A Tub) only if you would rather we sent a purpose-made basin with it.
How it works
How Can The Ion Pure™ Heal My Body?
This natural treatment works by ionization. The ionizer, which is placed in the foot bath, releases ions through the water and into your body. Your cells are energized by the ions and are finally able to release the toxins, oils, acids, fats, heavy metals, cellular debris and waste that have accumulated over your lifetime.
Ionization is a familiar process. However, the concept of using ionization in a foot bath is a relatively new idea. In nature, ions are generated by the movement of water molecules — think of how good you feel while walking along a beach or near a waterfall. A session, start to finish
Four steps, then you sit down
Fill the tub
Warm water from the tap, deep enough to cover both feet to the ankle. There is no heater in this machine — the water starts at whatever temperature you pour, and cools as you go.
Add the salt
One small level dose of sea salt, measured with the spoon in the box. The unit sounds an alarm if you overdo it. Epsom salt works too.
Drop in the array
The coil sits in the water beside your feet, plugged into the control unit on the floor. Nothing else goes in the water.
Run the cycle
Press the single button. The indicator steps through its cycles and signals when the session is over. A session runs 15–30 minutes.
The part that wears out
The array is a consumable
The coiled array is the working electrode. It sits in salted water carrying a current, and it does not last forever — expect roughly 20–30 sessions from one array when it is rinsed and dried after each use.
It unplugs from the control unit and swaps out in seconds. Replacement arrays are a stocked item on this store, in one, two and four packs. Budget for that the way you would budget for filters, not for a repair.

No (I Have My Own) ships the six items above — there is no tub in that box, you supply your own. Yes (I Need A Tub) ships all six plus the Professional Foot Tub Basin. That same basin is sold on its own elsewhere on this store, and taking it in the bundle costs less than adding it to the order afterwards.

The numbers we can stand behind
Professional Foot Tub Basin (the Yes (I Need A Tub) option): ABS plastic, SGS certified. Holds 3.2 gallons (12 litres). Inside dimensions 20 in long × 16 in wide × 6 in deep (50 × 41 × 15 cm). Handles around the full perimeter, contoured base, white so the water is easy to see. Those dimensions are the tub, not the machine.
Before you buy
Who should not use it
Unless you are under a physician's guidance, do not use the Ion Pure™ if you are:
- A wearer of a pacemaker, or any other battery-operated or electrical implant
- Pregnant or nursing
- Taking heartbeat-regulating medication or blood thinners
- An organ transplant recipient
- On medication whose absence would cause mental or physical impairment, such as psychotic episodes or seizures
If you have diabetes and experience low blood sugar, eat something before a session. If you are unsure whether any of this applies to you, ask your doctor first — that is a better use of five minutes than a return.
Straight answers
The questions we get most
Why does the water change colour even with no feet in it?
Because several things in the tub react whether your feet are there or not. City water carries hundreds of dissolved compounds; the salt you add carries a charge; and the array itself is made from stainless steel and copper. All of those contribute to the colour. We estimate the "junk in the tub" accounts for roughly 30% of the colour change when feet are in the water — and 100% of it when they are not. If you run the unit with an empty tub, expect the water to change colour. That is the array and the salt, not you.
Does it heat the water?
No. There is no heating element. Fill it from the hot tap and you will have a comfortably warm soak for the first ten to fifteen minutes before it starts to cool. If you want it hot at the end, start hotter.
How often can I use it, and how long is a session?
Under 65: every other day, not more than three times a week. Over 65: not more than twice a week. Each session runs 15 to 30 minutes.
Can I use Epsom salt or essential oils?
Epsom salt is fine. Use one small measured dose with the spoon provided — more is not better, and the unit will sound an alarm if the water is over-salted.
Does it pull minerals out of my body?
Our experience and examination has shown that the Ion Pure™ does not pull out minerals and nutrients the body is utilising. We do believe it is possible that minerals and nutrients that are not being used can be pulled out during the process. Drink enough water, and take minerals and supplements as guided by your practitioner.
What if I already have a foot tub?
Then choose No (I Have My Own) and save the difference. Any basin that holds warm water and both feet will do. The machine does not care what the tub is made of.
How long does the array last?
Roughly 20 to 30 sessions, rinsed and dried after each use. Replacement arrays are stocked here in one, two and four packs.
Can children use it?
The manufacturer sets a minimum age of five. Read the contraindications above first — they matter more than the age floor.
