These use a large frame instead: one wide lens with a soft silicone gasket that sits on the brow and cheekbone, spreading the pressure over bone rather than into the socket. Built to keep water out and clarity in, whether you are in a pool or open water.
The seal is the whole product
A soft silicone gasket runs the full perimeter and moulds to the face without needing to be cranked tight. Most leaks are not a bad seal — they are a strap over-tightened to compensate for the wrong shape. Get the frame right and the strap only has to hold it in place.
One lens, so you can actually see
A single wide shield gives you peripheral vision instead of two portholes — useful in a busy lane, and genuinely important in open water where you need to sight without stopping. The anti-fog coating keeps that view clear from the moment you get in.
The one habit that decides how long they last
Never wipe the inside of the lens. Anti-fog is a coating, and a towel or a thumb takes it straight off — which is why goggles that fogged on day thirty almost always fogged because somebody polished them. Rinse in cool fresh water, shake them off, air dry them out of the sun, and keep them in a case rather than loose in a kit bag.
