Light in the shape of cherry blossom
One continuous strand of thin dark-green wire, with moulded translucent blossoms threaded along it and a small LED seated in the heart of each flower. Lit, the petals glow from the inside. Unlit, in daylight, the wire all but disappears into a hedge, a railing or the branches of a tree.
This is accent lighting, and it is worth being clear about that before you buy. Each flower is a soft point of light roughly as wide as a bottle cap — enough to trace a railing, a trunk or a doorway after dark and give a corner of a garden some atmosphere. It is not enough to light a garden, and it is not trying to.

Two ways to power it. They are not the same product.
This listing carries the same blossom strand with two different power units, at two different prices. The choice sits in the Power Source selector above, and it is the one decision on this page that actually matters.
Panel on a ground stake
A small square solar panel on a two-piece spike. You push it into soil or a plant pot somewhere that gets real daylight, and it charges through the day and runs the string after dark. Nothing to plug in, no cells to replace. It does need sun on the panel — a permanently shaded balcony is the wrong home for it.
Runs anywhere, sun or no sun
The same blossom strand supplied with a battery unit in place of the solar head. It works in spots the sun never reaches — a covered porch, a mantelpiece, a stairwell, a marquee — and you switch it on and off yourself. We are still confirming the cell type with the supplier, so if that detail decides it for you, message us before you order.
One strand comes in the box either way. There is no length to choose and no second set included.

The hardware we can put numbers on
These figures come off the supplier’s own dimensioned drawing and describe the Solar version’s panel and stake.
The blossom covers themselves are moulded translucent plastic on an insulated dark-green wire, with one LED per flower.
Where it goes
Somewhere people will pass close to it
Because the light is small and local, this strand works best where someone is within a few feet of it. Run along the top of a fence it reads as a line of soft points; strung across a lawn it mostly disappears.
- Deck and balcony railings — woven in and out of the balusters, dipping between posts.
- Up a trunk — spiralled around a potted olive, a birch or a patio tree.
- Along a fence line or a pergola beam, where it catches you at eye level.
- Doorways, arches and marquee poles for a wedding or a party.
- Indoors — a shelf edge, a headboard, a mantelpiece. Choose the Battery version for this; the solar panel needs to be outside.
Three colours
Pick the light, not just the flower
The blossom covers look much the same in daylight. What changes between the three colour options is what happens when they are switched on, so choose for the mood you want after dark rather than for the look of the unlit strand.
Warm Light
A honeyed candlelight white. The softest of the three and the easiest to live with next to a house.
White
A crisp, cool daylight white with a faint silver edge. Cleaner and more modern; reads brighter for the same bulb.
Multicolor
A repeating mix of red, green, blue, pink and amber blooms. Festive rather than subtle — the one people buy for Christmas and parties.
Straight answers
What we are not going to tell you
The listing this page replaces carried several figures we could not stand behind. Rather than repeat them, we took them out. Here is what is genuinely still open.
- No weather rating. We have no ingress-protection rating on file from the supplier for either the strand or the panel housing. Both are sealed moulded plastic and the supplier photographs the string outdoors in a garden, but until we hold a tested rating we are not going to give you one. Treat it as an outdoor decoration rather than hardware: do not submerge it, and bring the panel in over winter.
- No run time, charge time or dusk-sensor spec. We have not been given tested figures for how long a full charge lasts, how long it takes to charge, or whether the panel switches itself on at dusk. A solar string’s evening depends heavily on the season and on how much sun the panel actually saw, so a single headline number would be close to meaningless anyway.
- No lit length or bulb count yet. The supplier’s paperwork gives two length figures that do not agree on what they measure — one of them is the lead run from the power unit to the first flower, and the two sources we have read disagree on whether that run sits inside the total or on top of it. We are confirming the lit length and the number of flowers before we print either. What we can tell you is that there is only one length: you do not choose it, and one strand ships.

Small lights, honestly described
A strand of glowing blossom on a wire, in a warm white, a cool white or a mix of colours, powered either by the sun or by a battery unit. That is the whole product, and it is a lovely one when it is pointed at the right job.
