One piece of molded foam, no skin on it, no seams in it
This is a plain foam ball. Not a foam core wrapped in a cover, not a printed sports ball, not an inflatable. It is molded foam all the way through with a bare, slightly porous surface, and it comes in five colors.
Because there is no coating and no bladder, there is nothing to pop and nothing to pump. It also means the outside of the ball is the foam itself, which is the thing to understand before you buy it. More on that below.
Why it lands quietly
Foam gives way on impact. Instead of a rigid surface slapping a hard floor and ringing, the ball flattens for an instant, spreads the impact over more time, and springs back. What you hear is a dull, short sound rather than a bounce.
The same softness is why it does not carry across a room the way a rubber or inflated ball does. It also does not bounce back at you nearly as high, which is a fair trade indoors and a poor one outdoors.

Five colors, one ball
Blue, red, green, yellow and orange. Same ball, same foam, same size in every color — the only thing that changes is the pigment.
We cannot tell you the diameter. No measured size has been supplied for this ball, so this page does not state one. In the supplier's own photographs it fills two adult hands, which puts it somewhere in playground-ball territory rather than tennis-ball territory, but that is an eyeball read of a photograph and we are not going to print it as a specification. If exact size matters to you, ask us before ordering.
The honest part: bare foam scuffs, and some of it tears
An uncoated foam ball has no protective skin. Dragged along a rough carpet, a driveway or a brick wall, the surface abrades and sheds crumb. Stood on, it deforms and does not always come all the way back.
We are not guessing at that. It is what our own reviewers reported, unprompted, on this listing: that it lost shape after being stepped on, that it flattened over time, that it went soft after a few weeks, and in one case that it tore on the first day. So: treat it as an indoor ball on indoor surfaces. It is not built for pavement, and it is not built to be chewed or picked at. If a ball is going to be taken outside, this is the wrong one.
Ages 3 and over
The manufacturer's age grade on this product is 3 and over, and this page holds to it. It is not sold for babies or toddlers, and it should not be handed to a child under three.
The reason is the same bare foam described above. A material that can be picked, bitten or torn is a material that can come away in pieces, and pieces are the hazard at that age. An older child who plays with a ball rather than mouths it is who this is for.
Adult supervision is sensible with any ball indoors, at any age.
A ball you can throw in the hallway
That is the whole idea. Something with enough size and give that a game of catch can happen between the sofa and the stairs without anything getting knocked off a shelf or anyone getting told to take it outside.
