A sponge left lying in the corner of the sink never really dries. It sits in its own puddle, stays damp between washes, and within a week it has that smell. This is a small steel cradle that sticks to the side of the sink and stands the sponge up on its edge, so air gets underneath it and the water runs off instead of pooling.
It stands the sponge on edge
That is the whole idea, and it is the reason it works. The rack is a flat steel plate with a single bent wire looping out from its face — an open cradle, like a tiny easel. You drop the sponge in edge-on and it stays there, held at the bottom and open on every other side.
Because nothing wraps around the sponge, there is no tray to fill up and no cup to go green underneath. Water leaves the sponge, runs down the wire, and drips back into the sink where it belongs.
Where it sticks, and where we would not trust it
The adhesive pad comes already fitted to the back of the plate. You peel the film off, press it where you want it, and that is the installation — no drilling, no screws, no tools, no marks to line up.
Give it a clean start. Wipe the spot with rubbing alcohol and let it dry completely first. Adhesive pads do not fail because they are weak; they fail because they were pressed onto a film of dish soap or cooking grease. Press it on hard, and leave it alone for a while before you put anything in it.
Smooth, clean and dry is what it wants. The maker's own photographs show it mounted on the inside wall of a stainless steel sink and on glazed tile, and those are the surfaces we would pick. We would not put it on bare wood, wallpaper, textured or freshly painted walls, or across a grout line, because a pad can only grip what it can lie flat against.
What we are not going to tell you. The maker does not publish a weight rating for the pad, a brand of adhesive, or a setting time — so we are not going to print numbers for any of those. It is sized and shaped to carry a sponge, a scouring ball or a small pot lid. If you want it to hold something heavier than that, this is not the product to gamble on.
Steel, and what is actually stamped on it
Stainless steel plate, stainless steel wire. On the silver rack the maker stamps SUS-304 into the face of the plate — it is visible in the close-up photographs, and SUS-304 is the Japanese designation for the same 304 stainless used for sink bowls and cutlery. The plate is about 1.5 mm thick and the wire is about 4 mm across, which is why the cradle takes a wet sponge day after day without splaying open.
The black rack is the same plate-and-wire build under a matte black finish. The maker does not state a grade or a coating type for the black version, so we have not put one on this page.
How big it really is
Smaller than people expect, and smaller than the sponge it holds. The backing plate is a little under two inches square, and the cradle projects barely more than an inch from the wall — it takes up about as much of your sink wall as a large postage stamp. That is the point: it disappears into the corner instead of becoming another thing sitting on the counter.

What arrives
Racks, and nothing else. The pack size you choose is how many racks come in the box, each with its adhesive pad already fitted. There is no sponge, no scouring ball, no spare pad, no tube of glue, no hook and no drip tray. The sponges and scrubbers in the photographs are there to show you the scale and to show you the thing in use — they are not part of the order.
