The foot tub that doesn’t fold when you pick it up
A rigid one-piece basin sized for two adult feet, with a rim ledge that runs the whole way round. Fill it at the sink, carry it to the sofa with both hands, and it holds its shape the entire way.
Most foot soaks fail at the same moment: the walls flex, the water surges, and half of it lands on the floor before you sit down. That is a molding problem, not a technique problem. This basin is molded thick, sits on a solid pedestal foot, and gives you something to actually hold on to.
The grip
A ledge the whole way round
The wall flares outward at the top into a wide rolled rim that runs unbroken around the entire perimeter — both long sides, both ends. You do not have to find a handle. Put a hand anywhere on the edge, hook your fingers underneath, rest your thumbs on top, and lift.
Underneath, the bowl sits on a raised pedestal foot that is narrower than the rim, so the body of the tub overhangs its own base. That is what keeps your knuckles clear of the floor when you set it down, and what lifts the water off cold tile.
Sink to floor
Carry it full, in one trip
Filled to its rated capacity the basin holds 3.2 gallons (12 liters). That is a real weight — about twenty-seven pounds of water — and it is the load that makes a thin tub buckle in the middle and spill.
Here the walls stay where they are. Two hands on the ledge, lift level, walk. No sagging middle, no wobble, no second trip with a jug.
The floor
Room for both feet, flat
The inside floor is a long oval, wide enough to set both feet down side by side and level. You are not stacking one foot on the other or angling them to fit, which is what makes a round washing-up bowl uncomfortable after ten minutes.
The floor is molded with a field of small rounded dimples and low bumps around a raised oval pad in the center. They give the surface some texture underfoot instead of flat slippery gloss. They are molded shapes in the plastic — nothing moves, and we make no claim that they massage anything.
What it is
A basin, and only a basin
There is no heater, no pump, no jets, no motor and no power cord. Nothing plugs in. You fill it from the tap at whatever temperature you want and top it up if it cools. That is the whole operation.
Being unpowered is the reason it can be a simple rigid molding rather than a thin shell built around a heating element, and it is why there is nothing in it to fail.
If you own the Ion Pure
The dip in the rim
At one end the rim swells outward into a rounded lobe with a shallow saddle scooped into its top edge. This is the basin we supply as the tub option with the Ion Pure foot bath, and the scoop is where that unit’s lead crosses the edge without being pinched under the rim.
If you already have an Ion Pure and chose the option without a tub, this is the matching basin. If you have never heard of it, the scoop is simply a notch in the rim and the tub works exactly the same as a plain warm-water soak.

The numbers
Footprint and height are the overall outside dimensions taken from the supplier drawing, measured to the widest points of the rim and to the underside of the base. Capacity is the rated fill, not the brim volume.
