Microwave rice set
A pot, a strainer, a vented lid and a paddle
This is not an appliance. There is no heating element, no cord and no timer — your microwave does the cooking. What you get is a four-piece plastic set built so the rinsing, the cooking and the serving all happen in the same container, which is the part that saves you a sink full of pans.
How it works
Rinse in the basket, cook in the pot
Rinse and drain
Rice goes in the inner basket. Its base is perforated, so you rinse and drain straight through it under the faucet. A fold-down bail handle lets you lift it clear without tipping the rice out.
Drop it in and add water
The basket sits down inside the outer pot. Add your water, seat the lid, and clip the paddle flat across the top.
Microwave, then serve
The lid carries two sets of molded slots so steam escapes as it cooks. When it is done, the paddle comes off the lid and doubles as the serving spoon.

Four pieces — and only four
- Outer cooking pot — the vessel that goes in the microwave, with a molded lug on each side to grip.
- Inner strainer basket — perforated base, fold-down bail handle. This is the piece the older copy on this page called a colander.
- Vented lid — two sets of slots, and a recess the paddle clips into.
- Paddle — the colored piece. It serves the rice and it is what you clip across the lid.
This page used to list a fifth item. No measuring cup ships with this set, none appears in any photograph of it, and the maker’s own listing does not include one. We removed it. If you portion by cup, use one from your own kitchen.

Before the first use
It comes out of the microwave hot
Plastic on the outside can feel deceptively cool while the contents and the steam inside are not. Treat it the way you would treat any covered dish coming out of a microwave.
- Use a towel or mitts on the side lugs. Two owners have told us the same thing — the full pot is awkward to handle while it is hot.
- Open the lid away from your face. The slots vent during cooking, but there is still trapped steam under the lid when you lift it.
- Do not carry it by the paddle alone. The paddle clips into the lid; the clip can work loose with use, and one owner reported exactly that. Carry it by the pot.
- Set it on a trivet or a board. Not straight onto a bare countertop or a laminate surface.

What we can and cannot tell you
The description that used to sit here was lifted, almost word for word, from a named housewares brand’s listing for its own microwave rice cooker. That was not our product and it was not our evidence, so all of it is gone.
Here is where that leaves us. The set is a plastic vessel intended for microwave cooking, and the maker rates the material as noted above. We hold no independent laboratory testing for it, so this page makes no material-safety or certification claim of its own, and no claim at all about how evenly it cooks.
The set also arrives without a cooking chart. Water ratios and times are not printed on it and are not included with it, and they vary by grain and by your microwave’s wattage. A buyer told us plainly that she had to work it out herself. Start from the ratio you already use on the stovetop, and expect to adjust the first time.
You supply the microwave. Nothing about this set is powered.
One container, from the faucet to the table
Rinse, cook and serve without moving the rice between three pieces of kitchenware. That is the whole idea, and it is the part the set genuinely delivers.
