Read this page before you read the title.
This is a small, unbranded, imported electronic device. It is about the size of a chicken egg. You close your hand around it, and two metal contacts on its front face pass a very low electrical current through the skin of your palm. That is the whole of what it physically does.
The title above this description, the packaging it arrives in and the leaflet inside the box all describe it as a sleep device. We are not going to describe it that way, and we are not going to tell you it will do anything for your sleep, your mood or your health. The rest of this page explains what it is, what we know about it, what we do not know about it, and who should not use it. Nothing on this page is a medical claim, because we have nothing to support one.
What is actually in your hand
A rounded teardrop of soft-touch molded plastic, wider at the base and drawn up to a small hooked point at the top with a hole for the wrist strap. On the front face sits an oval of polished metal: an outer ring, and a smooth disc in the middle of it. Both are electrical contacts, and both sit against your palm when your fingers close around the unit.
The metal face goes against the palm. The maker's own instruction sheet says to hold it so the contacts touch the skin of the hand, which is what completes the circuit.
The middle disc rotates. Turning it switches the unit on and raises the output. There are twelve positions, marked by shallow notches around the lower edge of the body.
A button on the back changes mode. It is marked with a single letter M. How many modes it steps through, and how they differ, is not stated anywhere in the material we have.
What we will not tell you about it
The page you are reading replaced an earlier one. That earlier version described a physiological mechanism for this device and promised outcomes from it. Every one of those statements has been deleted, because not one of them had anything behind it. We are not going to repeat them here in order to disown them.
- It holds no FDA clearance, approval, registration or listing. We searched. There is none, and there is no manufacturer name to search under. Do not read the absence of a claim on this page as approval of anything.
- We have no test data for it. No clinical study, no laboratory report, no output measurement, no safety certificate. Nothing.
- It is not a treatment. We do not claim it treats, relieves, prevents, improves or affects any condition, symptom or bodily function — including sleep, mood, stress, pain and concentration.
- The output is not published. Nobody has told us the current, the voltage, the waveform or the frequency this device delivers at any of its twelve settings. We do not know, so we cannot tell you.
- Nothing here is a substitute for medical care. Persistent trouble sleeping has real causes and a doctor is the right person to look at them.
If you want a device with a proven effect on a medical condition, buy a cleared medical device on the advice of a clinician. That is not this, and we would rather say so on the page than have you find out after it arrives.
Before you use it — this part matters
It passes electrical current through your body. The precautions that apply to any consumer electrical stimulation device apply to this one, and because its output is unspecified, they apply with less room for judgment than usual.
- Do not use it if you have a pacemaker, defibrillator or any other implanted electronic or metallic device. This one is not a matter of caution — do not use it.
- Do not use it if you are pregnant. The effects of electrical stimulation in pregnancy are not established.
- Speak to a doctor first if you have epilepsy or any seizure disorder, a heart condition or arrhythmia, or a cancer diagnosis.
- Keep the contacts on the palm only. Do not place it against the chest, the head, the neck or the mouth, and do not hold it against broken, inflamed or numb skin.
- Do not use it while driving or operating machinery, and keep it away from children.
- Stop immediately if the skin under the contacts reddens, stings or itches, or if anything feels wrong. The long-term effects of repeated electrical stimulation are not known.
Specifications
Everything in this table comes from the supplier's own photography and diagrams. Where a figure is not published, the line says so rather than guessing at it.
In the box: the device, a silicone wrist strap, a USB charging cable and a printed instruction leaflet. Nothing else ships with it — no case, no spare parts, no power adapter.
Not published anywhere in the supplier material, and therefore absent from this page: output current, voltage, waveform and frequency; battery capacity; run time per charge; charge time; water resistance rating; manufacturer name; country of manufacture; and any certification of any kind.
Simple gear for better days.
We would rather sell you less than tell you more than we know. If a page on this store ever tells you something we cannot back up, it is a mistake and we want to hear about it.
