All-metal spring chest expander
Old-school steel spring resistance you set yourself
Two knurled metal handles and seven detachable steel coil springs. Pull it apart and the springs fight you all the way out and all the way back.
Clip on more springs for more resistance, or fewer to start light. Nothing to plug in, no cables and no bands: just steel springs and your own strength.
Detachable springs
Each handle has seven holes. Run one spring or all seven.
Knurled handles
Metal handle frames with knurled roller grips, finished in the color you choose.
Compact at rest
About 24 in (62 cm) long before you pull, per the supplier. The springs unclip for travel.
How to use it
Three ways to train with it
Front pull
Hold a handle in each hand in front of your chest and pull them apart. This works your upper back and the backs of your shoulders.
Overhead pull
Raise it above your head and pull the handles apart into a wide V to work your shoulders and upper back.
Back press
Hold it behind your upper back with the springs across your shoulder blades and press both hands forward to work your chest and triceps.
Set your resistance
Count springs, not pounds
- Start light. Begin with two or three springs and slow, controlled reps, then add springs as you get stronger.
- Keep it balanced. Clip the springs into matching holes on both handles, spread evenly from the middle, so the pull stays straight.
- Resistance builds as you pull. Coil springs get harder the further they stretch, so the end of each rep is the hardest part.
- No pound figure. The supplier does not publish a pull force per spring, so we do not quote one.
Treat it like the loaded springs it is
Stretched steel springs store energy and want to snap back. Respect that and the expander is simple and safe to use.
- Check it before every session. Every hook should be closed and seated in its hole. Stop using a spring that is bent, kinked or no longer closes up fully.
- Never let go of a stretched expander. Keep both hands closed on the grips and let it close slowly.
- Keep your face out of the line of pull, and train in open space, clear of other people.
- Mind the coils. Keep hair, skin and loose clothing away from the springs as they close.
- Keep it away from children and store it with the springs relaxed.

What you get
No resistance bands, tubes, straps or door anchors are included, and none are needed. The color you choose is the finish on the handles; the springs are bare steel in every version.
