It rests your chin so your neck doesn't have to hold your head up
This is a light open frame, not a foam tube. A molded cradle sits under your chin. Two slim metal rods run down from it to a small plate that lies flat on your breastbone. So while you are wearing it, part of the weight of your head is standing on your chest instead of hanging off the back of your neck.
The whole front of your throat stays open. You can talk, swallow, drink and look side to side. It fastens with one soft band behind your neck that you can reach yourself, and it comes off in about as long as it takes to put on.

Your chin lands in the cradle
The molded crescent at the front is the contact point. You let your jaw rest into it rather than pushing down on it.
Two rods carry the load down
The rods are the structure. They hold the cradle at a fixed height above your chest, so your chin has somewhere to stop.
Your breastbone takes it
The rods end in one small padded-face plate that sits flat and central on the sternum. That is the surface doing the carrying.
That is a mechanical description of how the frame is built and where the load path runs. It is not a treatment claim.
Why the open frame
The reason it isn't a foam collar
- Nothing wraps your throat. A foam collar packs padding all the way round. This one is a skeleton — band at the back, cradle at the front, open everywhere else.
- It doesn't cook you. There is no material sitting against the sides or front of your neck, so there is nothing to trap heat against your skin.
- Your jaw isn't buried. The cradle sits under the chin rather than around it, so your mouth and your line of sight are clear.
- You keep some movement. It stops your head sinking forward. It does not lock your head in place, and it is not meant to.
- One strap, done. The band closes behind your neck with hook-and-loop. Both hands reach it. No buckles, no threading, no second person.

We publish the measurements we can stand behind. We have no verified neck-circumference range, cradle height, item weight or rated load from the manufacturer for this frame, so we are not printing numbers we cannot source. If a specific measurement decides it for you, ask us before you order and we will get it or tell you we couldn't.
Read this before you buy
What it is for, and what it is not for
- It is a light support, not a load-bearing brace. The four plastic joints are where the load passes through, and they are the limit of the thing. It is built to hold a head that is resting on it, not to be leaned into hard for hours.
- It does not immobilize your neck. An open frame cannot. If you have had a neck injury, a fall, or any suspicion of a fracture, this is the wrong object and you need to be seen.
- Take it off before you drive. It limits how far you can turn your head, which is exactly what you need to do to check a blind spot.
- Build up slowly. Wearing a neck support all day, every day, is not a good idea — resting muscles for long stretches tends to leave them weaker. Short sessions, and off when you don't need it.
- Ask a clinician first if you have a diagnosed neck or spine condition, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, or if you have had recent surgery on your neck or chest. The chest plate puts a firm contact point on your breastbone.

What we don't claim
We are not going to tell you this cures anything. It is a support. It holds your chin up while you wear it, and that is the whole of what it does.
It applies no pulling or stretching force to your spine — there is no traction mechanism in it, no pump and no motor. It will not permanently change your posture; anything that holds your head up only does so while it is on. And we make no claim about it treating any medical condition. If you are looking for treatment, that is a conversation with a clinician, not a product page.
This is a cervical orthosis: a Class I device under 21 CFR 890.3490, exempt from FDA premarket notification. That exemption covers supporting the neck. It does not cover treating disease, which is why this page does not go there.
