Self-adhesive leather repair patch

Cover the tear. Cut it, peel it, press it.

A thin sheet of faux leather with the glue already on the back. Cut a patch to shape with ordinary scissors, peel off the paper liner and press it over a tear, crack, burn or scuff on a sofa, chair, headboard or car seat.

It covers the damage rather than rebuilding it, so the patch sits on top of the old surface. Pick the color closest to your furniture and round the corners, and it reads as part of the piece from across the room.

What it is

Pebbled faux leather with a peel-off back

PU faux leather face. A fine pebbled grain, similar to most leather and vinyl upholstery.
Adhesive back. A kraft-paper liner protects the glue until you are ready to stick it down.
Cut to any shape. Use scissors or a craft knife. Rounded corners hold better than square ones.

How to apply

Four steps, only scissors needed

Clean

Wipe the area, trim loose threads or flaking bits, and let it dry fully.

Cut

Cut a patch about 1 in (2.5 cm) larger than the damage on every side, with rounded corners.

Peel

Peel the liner from one edge. Avoid touching the adhesive with your fingers.

Press

Lay it down and smooth from the center out, pressing the edges firmly for a minute.

Before you buy

What to expect

It is a cover, not an invisible fix. The patch edge stays visible up close. Color and grain get it close, not identical.
Color on screen is approximate. Screens vary. If matching matters, order the small 7.9 x 11.8 in sheet first and hold it against your furniture.
Best on smooth, firm surfaces. It holds best on clean, dry leather, vinyl and faux leather. Edges that fold or flex a lot, such as seat seams, can lift over time.
Not for fabric or suede. Woven fabric and napped surfaces do not give the glue a smooth surface to grip.
