A sword hilt where your gear knob used to be.
Black braided cord wrapped over red panels, a gold dragon end cap and a round dragon guard, on a shaft that clamps onto your shift lever with set screws.
At about 7.8 in (20 cm) it stands taller than most factory knobs, so your hand rests on top of it naturally and it is the first thing anyone notices when they get in the car.
The look
Styled on a katana handle.
The grip copies the way a sword handle is wrapped: black cord crossed in a diamond pattern over a red base, finished with a metal end cap and a round guard, both cast with a dragon relief in gold and gunmetal tones.
This is the short, 7.8 in (20 cm) version of the katana knob.

Manual shifters
A round manual gear lever whose knob simply unscrews or pulls off, with no lift-up reverse collar or other device on it.
Gated automatics
An automatic lever that moves through a zig-zag gate with no button on the knob.
Button shifters
An automatic knob you press a button on to change gear. This knob has no button, so it cannot take over that job.
The knob does not screw onto a thread. It slides over the lever and six set screws clamp it in place, with four adapter sleeves to fill the gap on thinner levers. That is why it fits so many cars, and also why it cannot replace a knob that carries a button or lock ring.
Fitting it
Three steps, one hex key.
- Remove the old knob. Unscrew or pull off your factory gear knob.
- Pick a sleeve. Choose the adapter sleeve that fits snugly over your lever.
- Tighten the screws. Slide the knob on, line it up straight, and tighten the set screws evenly with the hex key.
Check the screws again after the first few drives and snug them up if needed.
