A strapless bra that holds up with a real band, not glue

A longline strapless bra with molded push-up cups, a wide band that sits down on your ribs and a hook-and-eye back. Wear it strapless under off-shoulder and strapless outfits, or clip on the two adjustable straps and wear it as an everyday bra.

It is a structured bra, not a stick-on cup: there is no adhesive anywhere on it. The support comes from the band, the boned side panels and the underwire cups, which is why it is made in C to G cups and 34 to 44 bands.

How it is made

Where the lift and hold come from

Molded push-up cups. Smooth, lightly padded cups with no lace or seams across the front, so they lie flat under fitted tops.
Underwire under each cup. A wire channel along the base of each cup gives lift from below.
Wide longline band. The band runs down toward your lower ribs, spreading the hold around your body instead of relying on the top edge.
Boned side panels. Vertical stays in the sides help keep the band upright so it is less likely to roll or fold.
Hook-and-eye back. A tall center-back fastening that does up like any regular bra.

Two ways to wear it

Strapless, or with the straps on

Strapless for strapless and off-shoulder dresses, bandeau and tube tops, and wedding and formal wear.

With straps for days you want the extra security. Two thin adjustable shoulder straps come in the box and clip on and off.

Choose Beige under white and light colors, Black under dark colors.

Find your size

Measure twice, then pick band and cup

A strapless bra only works if the band is snug, so measure rather than guess. Use a soft tape measure, wear an unpadded bra or none, and keep the tape level all the way around.

Underbust

Measure snugly around your ribcage, directly under your bust. This picks your band.

Bust

Measure loosely around the fullest part of your bust.

Subtract

Bust minus underbust picks your cup from the chart below.

This chart uses the maker's measurements, which can differ from the brand you usually wear, so go by the tape rather than your usual label. Bands start at 34 and cups at C; this bra is not made in 32 bands or A and B cups.

Before you buy

What to expect

It is a hook-back bra, not an adhesive bra. For a backless dress with no room for a band, you want a stick-on cup instead.
The band shows on a low or open back. It is a longline style, so the band is wider than on a regular bra.
Fit comes from the band. If it slides down, the band is too loose; the next band size down will hold better.
Color on screen is approximate. Beige is a light warm nude.
