Nothing on it digs in

There is no wire in this bra. No hooks, no clasps, no rings, no sliders, no adjusters — nothing hard anywhere on it. It is one piece of smooth stretch knit that pulls on over your head, with wide flat straps and a plain band that lies flat instead of biting.

What you are actually buying

A soft, wireless, pull-on bra in a fine seamless knit that the trade calls “ice silk”. It has softly molded cups with a removable pad in each one, a wide scooped neckline with a small V at the center, a deep U-shaped back, and shoulder straps about three fingers wide. That is the whole garment. There is no closure at the back and nothing to adjust: you pull it on, and it either fits or it does not.

Why wide straps are the point

A thin strap puts the whole weight on a narrow line across the top of your shoulder, and that line is where the mark shows up by the afternoon. These straps are flat and about three fingers across, so the same weight is spread over much more of you. With no wire under the cup and no hardware anywhere on the garment, there is nothing on this bra hard enough to leave a red line.

The pads lift out

Each cup holds a soft molded pad in a lining pocket, and either one slides out through the opening at the top. Leave them in for a rounder, more defined shape under a fitted top. Take them out and the cup goes soft and flat, which is the version most people end up sleeping in. Take them out before you wash it, and slot them back while the bra is still damp so they settle into shape.

Sizing: what we know and what we will not guess

The supplier sells this in M through XXXL and publishes no measurement for any of them — no band, no bust, no cup, no chart of any kind. We are not going to invent one and let you find out the hard way.

What our own buyers keep telling us is that it runs small. If you are between sizes, or you are used to a bra sitting loosely, take the larger one. It is a soft knit with no closure, so a size up is comfortable; a size down is a return.

Looking after it

No care label is published for this garment, so treat it the way you would treat any fine stretch knit: pads out, cool hand wash, gentle squeeze rather than a wring, reshape the cups and dry flat away from a radiator. Heat is what kills the stretch in a knit like this.
