Folding GPS camera drone
A GPS drone that holds its spot and flies itself home
GPS and a downward camera keep it steady when you let go of the sticks, four brushless motors fly it, and one button brings it back. The arms fold in, so it travels in a daypack.
It is built for learning to fly and for filming your own walks, trips and property from above. It is not a pro cinema drone, and this page tells you exactly what the camera records, what comes in the box and the FAA rules for flying it in the US.
Holds its spot, flies home
GPS outdoors and a downward optical-flow camera low down keep it in place. On one button, low battery or a lost signal it is designed to fly back to where it took off.
Four brushless motors
Quieter and longer-lasting than the brushed motors in toy drones.
Small enough to carry
About 5.5 x 3.9 x 3.0 in folded (14 x 10 x 7.5 cm), and 10.4 x 9.3 in with the arms out (26.5 x 23.5 cm).
The camera, honestly
HD video, tilted from the controller
The front camera sits in a block under the nose that you tilt from the controller, from straight ahead to straight down, up to about 90 degrees. A second camera underneath looks straight down; it helps the drone hold position, and you can switch the live view to it in the app.
- Video: HD. The maker's own listing rates it at 720p; some sellers list 1080p. Expect clear footage for sharing on a phone or a laptop, not cinema detail.
- Where it saves: to your phone, through the drone's app.
- Stabilization: electronic, per the supplier. There is no stabilizing gimbal, so footage is smoothest in calm air with slow, steady moves.

Smart modes that do some of the flying
- Follow me. The drone tracks the controller's GPS position and follows it as you move.
- Orbit. It circles a point with the controller at the center.
- Waypoints. Draw a route on your phone screen and it flies that route.
- Gesture photo and video. Signal to the camera with your hand to take a photo or start recording.
- Obstacle sensor. A sensor on top is designed to stop the drone when something is in its path. Treat it as a backup: it works best in good light, and thin branches, wires and glass can slip past sensors like this, so fly slowly near obstacles.
- Beginner basics. Headless mode, one-button return and a speed switch on the controller.
Live view reaches your phone over the drone's 5 GHz WiFi link, which listings call "5G". It is not cellular 5G and needs no SIM or data plan.
Range and battery
How far and how long
- Flight time: about 15 to 20 minutes per battery, per the supplier, and less in wind or cold.
- Charging: about 2 hours per battery over USB.
- Controller range: about 1,300 to 2,000 ft (400 to 600 m) in open space with no interference, per the supplier's listings.
- Live view to your phone: about 820 ft (250 m).
- Wind: fly in light wind only. The manual rates it for winds under about 6 mph (10 km/h).
Before you fly in the US
The FAA rules, in plain English
- Take the free TRUST test. Every recreational drone pilot in the US must pass the FAA's free online Recreational UAS Safety Test and carry proof when flying.
- Weigh it. Supplier listings put it at about 184 to 200 g (6.5 to 7.1 oz) with the battery in. We have not weighed one ourselves, so put yours on a kitchen scale with the battery in and anything you have attached.
- Under 250 g and flown only for fun: you do not need to register it.
- 250 g or more, or any flying for work: register it with the FAA on FAADroneZone and fly with Remote ID. This drone has no built-in Remote ID, so you would attach an FAA-accepted Remote ID broadcast module, or fly only at an FAA-recognized identification area (FRIA). Flying for work also needs an FAA remote pilot certificate (Part 107).
- Every flight: stay under 400 ft, keep the drone where you can see it, and check the airspace with the FAA's B4UFLY service before you fly near an airport.
