A clean, dry floor for any shower you set up.
A square PVC tray about 41 in across with walls just above the ankle. Unfold it in a privacy tent, in a campervan doorway or on the sand, stand on it, and the water collects in the tray instead of turning the ground under your feet to mud.
A corrugated drain hose plugs into the side wall, so the used water runs off into a bucket or away from camp. When you are done it folds into a flat stack and goes back in the van.
How it works
Stand in it. Drain it. Fold it.
The floor is a single sheet of black PVC. The walls are made of stiff panel segments joined by folds, which is what lets a 41 in square collapse into something the size of a large book, and what holds the walls upright when the tray is open.
At the base of one wall there is a threaded outlet with a small cap. Screw the grey corrugated hose onto it and the tray drains by gravity: lay the hose level or downhill and the water leaves as fast as it arrives. Cap the outlet instead and the tray holds a shallow pool for a foot rinse.
Size and weight
Roomy to stand in, small to carry.
Square floor
About 41 x 41 in (104 x 104 cm) open. An adult stands in the middle with room to turn, and it fits inside the common pop-up privacy shower tents, which are around 4 ft square at the base. Measure your tent floor before you buy.
Wall height
The walls are about 5.9 in (15 cm), just above the ankle. That is enough to catch a shower's worth of splash while it drains. It is a tray, not a tub, so let it drain as you go.
Weight
About 3.6 lb (1.6 kg) for the tray and hose together. Folded, it is a flat stack roughly 10 x 8 x 4 in that slides beside a water can or under a seat.
Where it earns its place
Anywhere you shower without a bathroom.
- Inside a privacy shower tent. Drop it on the tent floor and you shower on black PVC instead of on grass, gravel or the tent's own thin floor. The hose runs out under the door.
- At the campervan or RV door. Rinse off on the step with the van's shower wand and keep the sand and soap out of the living space.
- Beach, trailhead and backyard. A place to rinse feet, wetsuits and kids before they get in the car, without a puddle where you are standing.
- Indoors when you need to. Wet-room floor for a pet wash or a sponge bath in a room without a drain; run the hose into a bucket.
Set it on flat, firm ground with nothing sharp under it. The tray lies on the ground and the ground carries your weight; the tray only has to hold the water.
Setting up
Three steps, no tools.
Unfold
Open the stack and pull the four walls up. The panel folds click the walls upright on their own.
Connect the hose
Uncap the side outlet and screw the corrugated hose on. Point it downhill, into a bucket, or out of the tent door.
Rinse and fold
Tip out the last of the water, wipe it down, unscrew the hose and fold the walls in on themselves. It packs flat.
The PVC floor is smooth. If you want extra grip underfoot on a wet day, drop a rubber shower mat inside it.
