Rigid printed claws that bend when your fingers bend

Each hand is a flat plate that sits across the back of your hand with five articulated digits radiating from it — four fingers and a thumb. Your own fingers slide into open cradles at the base, and every segment beyond them is linked by a pin joint, so when you curl your hand the whole claw curls with it. An elastic wrist strap holds the lot on. You get two: a left and a right.

They roughly double the length of your hand, and that is the entire effect. Everything below is what we can actually tell you about them, including the parts our own customers keep raising.

What arrives

A pair, and they come in pieces

2

Hands, not one

A left and a right, so both hands are covered. This is the thing the old listing was vaguest about, so we are saying it plainly.

5

Digits per hand

Four fingers and a thumb on each, all articulated. Nothing is left bare.

0

Assembly done for you

They ship as parts and you clip the joints together yourself. Buyers consistently say this takes a few minutes and is easier than it looks — but you should know it is a job before you open the box on Halloween night.

Rigid 3D-printed plastic, with the fine horizontal print lines visible on the surface if you look closely. That is what these are and we would rather you expected it than were surprised by it.

Fit

What “one size” actually means here

It is not infinitely adjustable, and we have stopped saying it is

This page used to promise a universal fit, and the same promise sat in the product title. It is a rigid printed claw. What it actually has is a stretchy woven wrist strap and segments you can take off to shorten a digit — real adjustment, but within a range, not without limit.

What our buyers report

Adults with large hands have told us they fit fine. One customer bought them for a ten-year-old and found they adjusted to their own adult hands too. Another with larger fingers warned that removing segments needs a careful hand or a joint can snap. That is a genuinely wide range for a one-size product, and it is also not a guarantee.

We do not have a measured length

Our supplier has never sent us a finger length, an overall length, a weight or a hand-circumference range, so you will not find any of those numbers quoted on this page. We are not going to estimate them from a photograph and print the result as a specification.

Wear something underneath if you want to

Several customers pair them with a thin black glove or a fingerless skeleton glove worn under the plate. It is not required and nothing like it is included, but it tidies up the look and stops the edges rubbing between the fingers.

Before you wear them

Three things worth knowing

  • They are delicate, and they are meant to be re-clippable. Our own reviews are consistent and cheerful about this: get rough with them and a joint pops apart, and it clips straight back together. Several buyers describe exactly that happening during an evening. If you want something that survives being thrown around, this is not it — and we have taken the durability language off this page.
  • You cannot pick anything up. Your fingertips end well short of the claw tips, so you have no grip and very little feel. One customer wearing them for an Edward Scissorhands costume put it best: they were brilliant, and she could not hold a thing. Do not drive in them, do not carry hot food or drinks in them, and expect to take them off to use your phone.
  • Long rigid points, worn at face height, in a crowd. They add roughly a hand's length of hard plastic with a point on the end, and at a busy party that reaches other people's eyes without you meaning it to. Be deliberate about where your hands are around small children, and take them off for photographs where people are leaning in.
  • Not a toy for young children. A customer put this well: a bit delicate for young children, and a bit sharp for rowdy adults. Older kids and teenagers get on with them fine under supervision.

The two colours

They are not the same sculpt

Black

Angular, flat, slab-sided segments that taper to a long blade-like point — more machine or monster than skeleton. It reads best in low light and against a dark costume, where the silhouette is the whole story.

Bone

Rounded segments with swollen knuckle ends that read as an elongated skeletal finger. It is the better pick for a skeleton, a ghost or anything where you want the shape to be recognisable rather than just menacing, and it shows up far better in a lit room.

Choosing between them is a look decision, not a quality one. They attach the same way and behave the same way on the hand.

What came off this page

The claims we removed, and why

This listing carried statements we could not stand behind, and in one case the product title itself made a promise the product does not keep. You are entitled to know what changed.

  • A fit claim, including in the title. The old title and the body both promised these fit every hand. A rigid printed claw does not, and saying so in the title meant a shopper could not even reach the caveat. The title has been changed and the promise replaced with what actually adjusts.
  • A buyer count. A heading announced a specific number of people who had bought these. It was not a real figure, and it was a strange one to print next to the ninety-nine reviews these have genuinely collected. Gone.
  • Three customer quotes. Three testimonials attributed to first-name-only buyers. None could be tied to a real order. All three were deleted rather than reworded — and there was no need for them, because this product has a large body of real reviews that say more useful things.
  • An all-night comfort claim. We have no basis for it and it is not what our reviews describe. What they do describe is a light accessory that people happily wear for an evening and take off to do anything with their hands. That is what the page says now.
  • A durability claim. The page promised sturdy construction and use across multiple Halloweens. Our own customers repeatedly describe the joints coming apart in normal use. Rather than soften that into something vaguer, we have replaced it with the truth and an explanation of why it is not fatal.
  • A hotlinked image. One picture was loaded live from a third-party marketplace, meaning that site could have replaced it with anything at any time and it would have appeared on this page. It has been removed.

In the box

What ships

  • One pair of articulated finger extensions — a left hand and a right hand, five digits on each, in the colour you choose.
  • Two elastic wrist straps, one attached to each hand unit.
  • The parts, not the finished article. A few minutes of clipping together is on you.

No gloves are included, despite the name this product has been sold under. No mask, no LED lights, no light-up parts and no costume. If you have seen a video offering these alongside a hooded glove set and a glowing eye mask, that is a different bundle and it is not what this listing ships.

The best five seconds of your costume

Nobody buys these for the engineering. They buy them because a hand that is twice as long as it should be, moving the way a hand moves, is genuinely unsettling in a way a mask is not. That effect is real and it is the whole product. Everything else on this page is us being straight with you about what you are also signing up for.
