The inside is divided rather than open. A long centre channel takes the flat things — a phone, a slim tablet, a notebook. Choosing a size

Order by your bag, not by the bag's brand name. Measure the flat base of the bag you want the insert to live in — length and width — and choose the size that will sit just inside it.

If you are between sizes, size down. An insert slightly under-size still holds everything and still lifts out in one piece. One that is slightly over-size will not sit flat, and it will push the bag out of shape rather than hold it.

Which size should I order?

Measure the base of your bag — length and width — and pick the size that sits just inside it. An insert slightly too small still works; one too large will not sit flat and will push the bag out of shape.

Will it fit my tote?

It is shaped for the classic folding nylon shopper and for totes of a similar cut — flared at the top, flat across the base. Those bags are made in several sizes, and so are we, so the honest answer is to measure your own bag's base rather than go by a model name. We would rather you order the right size once.

Does it make the bag heavier?

It adds the weight of a felt shell — real, but small next to what you carry in the bag. What changes more is where that weight sits: the load is held upright and spread across the base instead of pooling into one corner.

How do I clean it?

Spot-clean with a damp cloth and a little mild detergent, then let it air dry. We would not machine wash it or put it near heat — agitation and heat are hard on felt.

Will it protect my bag from spills?

It takes the first contact from pens, make-up and everyday grime, which is genuinely useful on a pale lining. It is felt, not a waterproof layer, so a proper liquid spill will still soak through.
