How it works

Three steps, and none of them are complicated

Chill it

Lay it flat in the freezer. The supplier's own instructions say 30 to 90 minutes. It keeps indefinitely in there, so it is ready whenever you are.

Wear it

Gel side against your face, strap round the back of your head. The beads shift and settle so it follows the shape of your eye sockets instead of bridging them.

Put it back

Wipe it down and return it to the freezer. There is nothing to replace between uses and nothing that runs out.

The build

Two faces, and you will use both

One side is a clear pouch packed with small gel beads. Beads rather than a single slab of gel is the whole point: a slab goes rigid in the freezer and sits across your face like a plank, while beads stay loose enough to move, so the mask drapes into the hollows around your eyes and touches skin the whole way.

The other side is soft plush. Straight out of the freezer the gel can be sharper than you want, and turning the mask over — or just resting it plush-side down for a minute first — takes the edge off without warming it up.

Warm, as well

It is not only a cold mask

The supplier supplies it as a hot and cold pack, and their instructions include a short burst in the microwave — ten to thirty seconds — for warm use. The old version of this page never mentioned that at all, which meant half of what you are buying went unsaid.

Two cautions, because gel packs are genuinely easy to overdo. Heat it for the time the supplier states and no longer; gel warms unevenly and can end up considerably hotter than it feels through the pouch. And always test it against the inside of your wrist before it goes anywhere near your eyes.

What this is, and what it is not

This listing used to name a medical condition in its own title. It should not have, so here is the honest boundary.

It is a comfort accessory. A cold mask over your eyes feels good, and cool weight in a dark room is a pleasant thing after a hard day. That is what we are selling.
It is not a treatment for any diagnosed condition. We make no claim that it treats, relieves or prevents anything a doctor would name. If something about your eyes or your head is recurring or getting worse, that is a conversation with a clinician, not a purchase.
We do not publish a gel composition, because we have not been given one. The supplier describes a water-based bead filling in a sealed pouch and provides no composition sheet. So treat it as non-edible, keep it away from children and pets, and if the pouch ever splits, bin it rather than using it.
Not for broken or irritated skin. Keep it off cuts, sunburn, rashes and any eye that is injured or infected. If your skin goes numb or unusually red while it is on, take it off.

A size was previously shown on this page, but it was internally inconsistent — it described something several times longer than any eye mask — so it has been removed rather than corrected by guesswork. Ask us and we will get the real figures from the factory. This is a general-use comfort accessory, not a medical device, and it carries no medical clearance of any kind.

Honestly

Where this is the wrong mask

You want under-eye patches. Different product entirely. Those are little adhesive hydrogel crescents you stick under each eye and throw away. This is one reusable mask that covers the whole eye area.
You want blackout for sleeping through the night. It is a contoured gel pack, not a padded sleep mask. It blocks light while you lie still, but it is heavier and colder than something you would wear for eight hours.
You want it to stay cold for an hour. It will not. It is a small mass of gel against a warm face, so plan on a short session and put it back.
You are looking for treatment. Covered above, and worth repeating: this is comfort, not care.
You want a specific strap type. The supplier's own per-color photographs are not consistent here — some show a plain stretch strap and some an adjustable one — so we are not promising you which you will get until we have confirmed it.
