Handheld frother and drink mixer
A double coil, spun fast, in whatever cup you are already holding.
Most handheld frothers put a single wire spring on the end of a shaft. This one carries two coils side by side, so more of the liquid gets pulled through the whisk on every rotation. Drop it into warm milk for twenty or thirty seconds and you get a fine, even foam rather than a few big bubbles. There is nothing to fill, nothing to plug in and nothing to wash up afterwards except the whisk itself.
What it is, precisely
A double coil head
Two tightly wound stainless springs side by side on one stem, not the single coil most handhelds use. It is a whisk that aerates and dissolves. It is not a blender and will not cut through solids or ice.
Three AAA cells, not included
The base cap unscrews and a removable three-bay cassette slides out. No cable, no charging, no waiting. Buy the cells with it, because none come in the box.
One button, one speed
A single push button in the end cap you hold against your palm. Press and it runs, release and it stops. There are no speed settings to choose and nothing to learn.
How to get a good foam
Use a tall vessel and do not overfill it. Foam roughly doubles the volume, and a full mug will go over the sides.
Start with the whisk fully under the surface so it does not spray, then lift it slowly until it sits just below the top and draws air in.
Keep it moving gently for twenty to thirty seconds. Warm milk foams more readily than cold, and higher fat gives a denser head.
It has a modest motor, and that is worth knowing rather than discovering. Push the coils hard against the side of the glass or into a dry lump of powder and it will stall; lift it back into the liquid and it picks straight up again. That is normal for a battery handheld of this size.
The part people get wrong
Only the whisk end goes in the liquid
The polished barrel is not a sealed handle. It holds the motor and three AAA cells behind a screw cap, and water getting into it is the one thing that reliably kills this kind of tool.
- Never submerge the body. Keep the barrel and your hand above the rim. Only the thin shaft and the coils belong in the drink.
- Rinse, do not soak. Hold the whisk end under a running tap and pulse the button for a second or two. That clears milk and powder out of the coils better than scrubbing does.
- Not a dishwasher item. The barrel contains a motor and a battery compartment. Do not put it in a dishwasher, and dry the shaft before you screw the cap back on.
- Take the cells out if you are storing it. Batteries left in an unused appliance for months can leak and corrode the contacts.
- Keep it out of a hot pan. It is made for cups, jugs and bowls of liquid, not for whisking over direct heat.

What people actually use it for
Milk for coffee is the obvious one, but our reviewers reach for it just as often to break powders into liquid: protein and collagen scoops that otherwise clump, hot chocolate that leaves half the mix in the bottom of the mug, matcha that refuses to disperse. It aerates and it dissolves. Anything that needs cutting, crushing or pulping needs a blender instead.
