A compact corded trim router for edge work
This is a small single-handed router of the kind used to flush-trim laminate, round over or chamfer an edge, and cut shallow grooves. It has a clear plastic base you can see the bit through, a knurled ring that sets the cutting depth, and a straight-edge guide bracket for running a groove parallel to an edge. The maker's kit photograph shows it supplied with one straight bit with a 1/4 in shank, the straight guide, a trimming guide, a wrench and a spare pair of carbon brushes.
Read this before you buy. The rating plate in the maker's photographs of this tool reads 220 V, 50/60 Hz, 720 W. Household mains in the United States is 120 V. We have not yet confirmed which voltage and plug ships to a US address, and we will not describe this tool as a 120 V tool until we have. If your mains is 120 V, wait for this page to say so before ordering.

Using a trim router safely
- Eye and hearing protection every time. A bit turning at 30,000 rpm throws chips hard, and this class of tool is loud.
- Unplug it to change a bit or adjust the depth. Seat the bit shank fully in the collet and tighten with the wrench before plugging back in.
- Clamp the work. Never hold a small piece by hand while routing it.
- Let it reach full speed before it touches the wood, and feed against the rotation of the bit. Feeding with the rotation makes the tool run away from you.
- Take shallow passes. A small router does its best work removing a little at a time.
- Keep the cord behind you and away from the bit.
- It is not for use on metal, and it is not a saw.
What changed on this page. This product was listed under a title that called it a saw blade. It is a trim router. We removed a promotional description with motor, cooling and precision claims we could not verify, a maker's image carrying a water-and-dust claim a mains-powered tool cannot support, and images carrying another company's brand mark.
