What makes it harder to pick

Low-profile zips. The main compartment opens along the bag's long edge and the front pocket zip follows a seam, so neither opening is obvious to someone standing next to you.
A pocket against your body. A zip pocket on the back panel lies against you while you wear the bag, which makes it the place for the things you most want to keep close.
Worn in front. Across your chest, the bag stays in your line of sight in crowds, on trains and in lines.

What it does not have: locking zips, a cut-resistant strap, or an RFID-blocking layer (the maker lists none). It makes a quick grab harder. It is not a theft-proof bag.

Main compartment: the maker says it holds a 7.9-inch tablet (iPad mini size). Inside there is a slip pocket and a zip pocket for cards, cash and small things, with room for a wallet, keys, sunglasses or a small power bank.
Back zip pocket: the one that sits against your body while you wear the bag.

At 1.2 in (3 cm) deep it will not take a water bottle or a jacket, and the largest tablet the maker lists is the 7.9-inch size.

The bag is made in two mirror-image builds, so the narrow buckled end always sits on top of the shoulder the strap crosses.

Left shoulder: worn across your chest, the strap goes over your left shoulder and the bag rests toward your right hip.
Right shoulder: the mirror image, with the strap over your right shoulder and the bag toward your left hip.
Mostly on your back? The sides swap: a Left shoulder bag worn on your back goes over your right shoulder, and a Right shoulder bag over your left.

Small things that make it easy to live with

Quick-release buckle. Unclip the buckle at the top to put the bag on or take it off without pulling it over your head.
Adjustable strap. Set the length with the slider near the bottom of the bag.
Headphone port. A round port near the top lets a wired earphone cable run to a device inside the bag.
