It does not fix your posture. It makes you notice it.
Slouching is a habit, and habits are hard to break because you cannot feel yourself doing them. This is a light figure-of-eight brace that sits across the shoulder blades and draws the shoulders gently back — so the moment you round forward at a desk, you feel it.
That feedback is the mechanism. Nothing about a strap rebuilds a spine; what it can do is interrupt the slump often enough that you start catching it yourself.
Light enough that you will actually wear it
It is fabric and webbing, not a rigid orthopaedic frame — two padded loops joined by a back panel, with two adjustable straps. It goes on like a small backpack, folds down to about the size of a rolled t-shirt, and disappears under a jumper. The braces people abandon are the bulky ones.
Tension you set yourself
Each strap runs through a slider so you choose the draw. Aim for a gentle backward pull you can forget about, not a tug that pins your shoulders. Too tight is the single most common mistake, and it is why people give up on these after two days.
Build up slowly
Fifteen to thirty minutes a day to begin with, and increase from there. Wearing a support all day every day is not the aim — the muscles that hold you upright need to do their own work, and a brace worn constantly does that work for them.
Sizing, honestly
There are two sizes, S/M and L/XL, and the manufacturer does not publish measurements for either. We are not going to invent a size chart. Measure around your chest under the arms, and if you are between sizes take the larger one — the straps take up slack, but they cannot add length.
