Foam wedge tablet stand
A triangle that holds the thing you are already holding
It is a block of soft foam in a brushed microfibre cover, cut as a triangle. A raised lip runs along the bottom of the sloping face, so a tablet, a phone or an open paperback drops into the ledge and leans back instead of being held. That is the entire mechanism, and it is why it works on a duvet as well as on a desk.
Because it is a triangle, it has three faces — and each one puts the sloping side at a different pitch. Tip it onto a different face and you get a different reading angle: more upright for a desk, flatter for lying down. There is nothing to unfold, tighten or adjust, and nothing to break.
Measured, not converted
The size, as the supplier actually drew it
The listing this page replaces gave three numbers as if they were length by width by height. They are not. The supplier’s dimensioned drawing measures the three edges of the triangular side panel, which is a different thing entirely.
Roughly, then: it takes up about as much desk as a dinner plate, and stands about as tall as a paperback is long. It is a cushion you can pick up in one hand, not a piece of furniture.
What it holds
What will actually sit on it
Every photograph and every frame of video we have from the supplier shows the same thing: a standard tablet of about ten inches, a phone, an e-reader or an open paperback. Those sit in the ledge and lean back without drama.
What we will not tell you is that it fits everything. Against a base under ten inches and a sloping face just over ten, a 12.9- or 13-inch tablet is going to overhang the top and sit heavier than the foam was shaped for. We have not tested one. If that is what you own, treat this as a maybe and ask us first rather than taking our word for it.
- The side pocket is white mesh, sewn onto the flat triangular panel, and it is sized for a phone — somewhere to park it while the tablet is up.
- The cover unzips. There is a zip along one top edge and the foam block lifts out, so the cover can come off.
- It works on soft surfaces as well as hard ones. On a duvet or a lap it settles in rather than sliding, which is the whole reason for a foam wedge instead of a metal stand.
Where it earns its place
Reading in bed, mostly
The honest use case is the one people buy it for: propping a screen while lying down, where no rigid stand works and stacking pillows keeps collapsing. It is good on a desk too, particularly as a book stand, but the bed is where it stops being a gadget and starts being useful.
In bed
On the duvet across your lap. It settles into the bedding and holds the angle instead of sliding down.
On the sofa
On your knees or on the arm, so you can watch something without your wrists doing the work.
At a desk
Best as a book or recipe stand, holding pages open at a readable pitch beside a keyboard.
Four colours
Same cushion, four covers
Nothing changes between them but the colour of the microfibre. The mesh pocket is white on all four.
Black
Disappears against dark bedding and a dark sofa. The one that shows least in a living room.
Blue
A deep navy. Reads as a considered piece of furniture rather than a gadget.
Gray
Soft light dove grey, the one in most of the supplier photography. Neutral against white bedding.
Rose Red
A rich magenta pink. Easily the loudest of the four, and easy to find on a messy bed.
Straight answers
Three things this page used to say that we removed
We went back through the old copy against the supplier’s own documentation. Three claims did not survive, and rather than quietly drop them we would rather tell you why.
- The fabric. The old copy named a specific branded suede material. That is a registered trademark belonging to another company, and nothing in our supplier documentation says this cushion is made of it. What we can tell you is what it is: a brushed short-pile microfibre with a matte, suede-like nap, soft to the hand and warm against skin.
- The precise angles. The old copy quoted three viewing angles to the degree. Those figures trace back to a named competitor brand’s marketing material, not to any measurement of this item, so we will not repeat them. The geometry is real and simple: three faces, three different pitches. Pick the one that suits how you are sitting.
- Fitting every device. The old copy made a blanket compatibility promise. No stand this size can honour one, and repeating the phrasing would only spread it further. The section above says what we have actually seen it hold.
One more, on the comfort claim: this holds the device so that you are not holding it. That is a convenience, not a medical benefit, and we are not going to dress it up as one.
A simple thing, described plainly
A foam triangle in a soft cover, with a ledge at the front and a mesh pocket on the side. It props your tablet, your phone or your book at a comfortable angle in bed, on the sofa or on a desk, and it does not need anything else to work.
